    About the Book :
Education and health are the two important threads connecting most of the sustainable development goals by ensuring sustainable livelihood. There exists a clear link between investments in health and education to the future productivity of people. In India the aim of ensuring universal health and education is common to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and the National Common Minimum Programme (NCMP). India experienced rapid growth of the economy for a long period with insufficient employment growth. Education steered to a significant increase in wages of both men and women in employment. Employment generation appears to be the key factor determining economic development. This book contains descriptions of various practical hurdles in creating employment and the relevance of education and health.
