     Dr. Alpna Sharma, born on January 14, 1986 in Deoghar (Jharkhand), is a dynamic professional, academic, and writer with a strong commitment to women’s empowerment and financial inclusion. She holds a Ph.D. in Financial Inclusion and Women’s Economic Empowerment: An Empirical Study of Deoghar District, awarded on December 21, 2024, by Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University (TMBU), Bhagalpur (Bihar).

    Alpna’s academic journey reflects her multidisciplinary expertise. She earned her Master of Arts degree in 2011 and Bachelor of Arts degree in 2005 in Economics respectively from Sido Kanhu Murmu University (SKMU), Dumka, Jharkhand. She did her MBA from ITM Business School, Warangalin 2009. Her foundational education includes 10+2 from Subhash Public School, Deoghar to and matriculation from Jitpur Academy, Jharkhand.

    Professionally, she currently serves as a Branch Development Officer at City Union Bank, Ranchi branch, Jharkhand. Her role in the banking sector complements her academic focus, enabling her to bridge research and real-world practice in financial empowerment, especially for marginalized communities.

    As a  life member of the Indian Economic Association (IEA), Alpna actively contributes to discussions on socio-economic development and inclusive banking. There are several research papers to her credit published in Indian Economic journal and economic journal of Bihar. Her passion for uplifting women through education, access to finance, and skill development is evident in both her research and professional engagements.
